Carrot seeds for the Amsterdam Caramba produces a carrot that likes sandy, well draining soil with no stones however unlike many carrots it will adapt to nearly all soil types as long as they are free of stones.

The Caramba is an improvement upon the 'standard' Amsterdam carrot and has a fine and tender flesh with strong cylinder shaped roots. Thinning is important so if you have to do a second thinning then this should be done around 10-days after the first to ensure a good strong crop. Keep the growing area free from weeds and water regularly. This is a great variety for storing maybe in jars having been pickled or just freezing making them ready to use all year round.

Sow during the months of November until March or even early April and harvest from February onwards.
