Dwarf Banana Tree The Abyssinian Banana is an easy to cultivate dwarf banana plant that is suitable for growing indoors or, if looked after, then easy to grow outside as a tub plant in a sunny position. This variety of banana will grow to a height of between 1 - 1.5-meters. You may have to work to get the trees to fruit, especially if you are planting outside, however the leaves are great and are commonly used to wrap food during cooking either on BBQ or as a standard with many asian dishes.
The seeds of this variety can be sown all year round, under glass, and needs to be kept at a temperature between 25 - 30C in order for the seed to germinate.
