Onion seeds for the Barletta produce a high yielding early season onion and is a white pearl variety that produces semi-flattened bulbs with a thick neck and white skin which is thin and quite delicate. The flesh has a slightly spicy flavour which can be used fresh or is good to pickle.

Sow the seeds from August to October in a seedbed. Either eat when young and fresh (high density and smaller bulbs) or transplant for larger bulbs in 40cm rows, 15cm between plants. Harvest April to August.
