Courgette seeds for the Jack Be Little produce, not just a strange name, but a really good variety of courgette especially for the novice grower. Great little fruits that are really borderline between a squash, courgette and a pumpkin, they grow to around 8cm diameter with a strong ribbed skin. The flesh is rich and very sweet.

As with a majority of courgettes, pumpkins and squash the Jack Be Little likes deep soil that is rich in organic matter and they really do benefit from only having one fruit per runner.

If you want to speed germination then soaking the seeds for a few hours before sowing will really help. Sow the seeds during April and May with harvesting from July onwards. Keep the soil moist during the growing period.

SOW: April - May direct to plot with 2-3 seeds per hole.
QUANTITY: Each packet contains around 35 seeds
GERMINATION: 4-6 weeks after sowing thin the seedlings leaving 1 strong plant per hole
DISTANCE: 0.7-meter between rows and 0.7-meter between plants.
HARVESTING: July - October.
