LARGE PACKET

Parsnip seeds for the Demi Long de Guernesey will produce a parsnip that will grow a root up to 40cm in length. The whole of the root will grow under the surface so the top of the roots will not start to turn green in the sunshine and does not require banking.

Sow the seeds of this parsnip between the months of April and August. They should be sown directly in the soil and thinned then the young plants are a few centimeters tall. When thinning you want to end up with plants around 20cm apart and rows about 40cm apart. This is quite a large root so they have to be given plenty of space to fully grow.

SOW: April - August direct to field
QUANTITY: Each packet contains approximately 1500+ seeds
THINNING: 3 - 6 weeks
DISTANCE: Sow at a depth of 1cm with the plants 30cm apart and rows 40cm apart
HARVEST: August - December
