Turnip seed for the Petrowski produce a vegetable that is a small variety of early turnip originally from the Teltow area in eastern Germany. Closely related to May turnips or Mairube. The flesh is tender but firm and a spicy, sweet taste. Prefers draining soil but is quite happy in nearly any soil type but not heavy clays. Likes to be in a sunny position but, again, quite happy in semi shade.

SOW: All year under cover April - August direct to soil around 2cm deep
QUANTITY: Each packet conatins around 250 seeds
THINNING: or transplant after 6-8 weeks
DISTANCE: about 20cm between rows and 4cm between plants
