Pelargonium zonale This is a mixture of the zonal varieties of geramiums which are the plants with rounded leaves which are marked, quite clearly, with a darker area or zone and single, semi-double or fully double flowers of 5 petals.
This mixture has pink, red and white flowers which will grow up to 50cm high and should be sown from March until the end of May with flowering from June onwards. They prefer a sunny position and prefers draining soil. It is a good idea to deadhead on a regular basis to keep the flowering strong. The geramium is ideal for planting in pots, tubs, window boxes and even as a back-drop to a large border. If planting in pots then be careful NOT to overwater and they may require a small amount of feeding as the season progresses. The flowers to not like very hot or humid conditions.
