Ladybird Larvae

Ladybird LarvaeLarvae are the preferred method of introducing ladybirds, especially in existing aphid colony infestations in greenhouses and also in outdoor areas as they will remain local until they become adults. Adult ladybirds can lay many eggs, helping to continue the colony of pest control, even if they then fly away!
* Larvae and adults eat aphids * Most aphid species eaten * High daily prey consumption * Rapid pest reduction * Potential for establishment in crop * Active and highly visible
Adalia bipunctata is an important addition to the aphid control armoury. As a species native to the UK and Europe, it is freely available and not subject to regulatory control.
Please ensure to apply live creatures in the best conditions. It is advised to only apply these creatures when the temperature is constantly above 4 degrees centrigrade, even at night. Of course, this is easy to maintain in greenhouses, but outdoors, it would be better to wait until all risk of frost is over.
