Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) Lemon Balm is a perennial plant, 50 cm. high. Oval leaves, of a light green colour, with a very pleasant fragrance of lemon; small yellow flowers. It is used for cooking to aromatize many dishes, in medicine, in perfumeries and in the manufacture of some liqueurs.
SOW: May-June in a seedbed. TRANSPLANT: September. DISTANCE: 60 cm between rows; 30 cm between plants. QUANTITY: 1-2 gr. of seed per sq. m. of seedbed. |
