Asparagus seeds for the Mary Washington asparagus produce a popular hardy variety that is resistant to rust and produces abundant purple-tinged asparagus spears, ideal eaten fresh or can be frozen for storage. Whilst the variety was originally developed in California, these seeds are bred in Spain.

SOW: March - May
QUANTITY: 4-5 seeds per hole in open field. Each pack contains around 325 seeds per pack.
TRANSPLANT: February - April of the following year
DISTANCE: about 1.5-meters between rows and 0.5-meters between plants.
HARVEST: April - July of year two

These plants should be in full production for over 10-years.
