Mixed Cactus This is a great way of starting a cacti collection, having a go at growing something a little different or as a gift.
Obviously these can't be planted outside (unless you happen to live in Mexico) so plant inside normally during the months of February, March and April. However if in a sunny area they can be planted at almost any time of the year. Once they start to grow thin the week seedlings and transplant the healthy into their own pot......and wait.
Obviously the plants do not like to sit in water so ensure they are in a well draining pot and in quite poor soil. When watering try to keep the water off the plant and just water the soil. Keep the plant warm and most importantly keep the soil warm. Many of the varieties included can handle the cold however warm is best. |
