The Nantes 5 carrot is a variety that is very resistant to bolting and combines all the good qualities of Nantes carrots such as a firm, well formed root and a sweet taste. The seeds for this particular variety of carrot is best sown between the months of March to July.

When buying the Nantes 5 carrot, you have a choice of either a large packet or a box of standard seed or a regular pack of coated 'jacket' seeds. These jacket seeds are only available for varieties that should be sown direct. The special neutral coating on each seed makes them more visible making the sowing of small seeds much easier and much more precise. This gives a reduction in the amount of seeds that you need to sow as correct placement will give you higher germination rates and less wastage.

Each packet of the Jacket Seeds contains an average of 100 seeds.
