Popular mediterranean plant. Dainty white flowers have a lovely fragrance. Cultivated for fruit, oil and timber. Can be used as an attractive container plant in unheated Winter gardens. Sow under glass all year round. Light germinator, so don't cover the seed, just press slightly into the soil. Germination takes 1 - 4 months at about 18C. Keep in a sunny and warm position. Grows in any well draining soil. Fertilize from March until July every fortnight with liquid food. Harvest July to August.
