The Padron pepper is a very famous produce of the Spanish town of Padron. The festival dedicated to the pepper, Festa do Pemento de Padrón, is a popular gastronomic event held in August. Great served fried with olive oil and coarse salt. Abundant flowering plant. Sweet fruits are eaten when still small. Variety characterized by the lack of capsicum in the fruit so not spicy. Sow (indoors or in a heated area in cold climates) December to April. Harvest June to October.
