Pepper Jalastar is a very hot jalapeno pepper with each growing to around 8cm in length on a plant that will grow to around 0.7-meters in height. The pepper has quite a tough skin, which helps to protect against cracking in the hotter weather, and are quite meaty. As with many varieties the skin will ripen from a dark green to a full red. This is a good producer and will give you many peppers but it does like the full sunshine and does not want to be overwatered, best to keep the soil moist rather than soaking and then allowing to dry out.
Sow from February until April and harvest from July onwards. Each packet contains enough seed for 8 - 10 plants.

SOW: February - April under cover
QUANTITY: Approximately 15 plants per packet
TRANSPLANT: Do not put outside if below 22C.
DISTANCE: Best grown in pots but if transplanting then allow around 60cm per plant.
HARVEST: July - October.
