Gherkin seed for the Vert Petit de Paris produce an easy and reliable variety of gherkin. Early ripening and prolific cropping gherkin that produces short, firm fleshed, spiny skinned fruits. Ideal whole or sliced for pickling - lovely with sliced cold meats. For early crops, sow under protection in March to April. Plant outdoors in late May or when frost risk has passed. Seed can be sown direct in the open ground from May to June.
