Part of the reason why we all love to grow our own food is that we all want something that is healthy for us and for our family. Well the Gleisdorfer Pumpkin ticks all the right boxes. Not only does it have great flesh but unusual and extreamly popular seeds.

Originally from Austria, the Gleisdorfer pumkin has really found fame for the seeds that it produces. The seeds are formed without a shell which allows them to grow much larger than the standard seed. Not just that but the seed contains higher concentrations of nutrients and essential fatty acids than any other variety of pumpkin. Eat them dried or roasted or use them in cooking. So with the Gleisdorfer you not only get a great pumpkin but you are also getting really healthly seeds.


SOW: March - May under cover
QUANTITY: Each packet contains around 15 seeds
TRANSPLANT: May - June planting 2-3cm deep.
DISTANCE: about 1-meter between rows and 1-meter between plants.
HARVEST: September - October
