Chicory seeds for the Rossa di Treviso produce a beautiful long slender-leaved plant which is green in the summer. With the onset of cool weather, the cone-shaped heads turn a bright red with pure white central ribbing and leaf veins. The roots can be forced to produce pale pink chicons.

SOW: June - August under cover or direct to soil.
QUANTITY: Each packet contains around 7000 seeds (9gm)
TRANSPLANT: 4-6 weeks
DISTANCE: about 40cm between rows and 25cm between plants.
HARVEST: October - January
