"Ready for Use" bags of salad leaves are common now in supermarkets, but expensive and have a short lifespan in the fridge. By growing your own, you can pick the exact quantity and combination of colours that you want for each meal. For a continuous supply, sow a few seeds every four weeks or sow under glass all year round.
