NEMASLUG - SLUG KILLER

IF IT IS SLUGS YOU ARE LOOKING TO KILL AND CLEAR FROM YOUR GARDEN OR VEGETABLE PLOT THEN YOU HAVE NOW COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE.

Nemaslug controls all common species of small to medium sized slugs (up to 8cm - which seems like a very large slug to me!). Application can take place at any time but it is better to start early in order to target the young slugs growing under the ground that are feeding on humus. We normally recommend outdoor applications from March until October which is when the slugs are most active. If using within a greenhouse or polytunnel then the slug killing application can take place all year round.

How do I kill my slugs?

One application of Nemaslug provides in the region of 300,000 nematodes (we haven't counted every single one) for every square metre of soil. This single application will give at least six weeks control of slugs which is generally enough time for your seedlings and bedding plants to get well established at which point they can look after themselves.

Nemaslug is easy to apply and does not leave any unsightly residues. As the majority of the slugs will die underground you will not see dead slugs lying around. Unlike a vast majority of slug controls, Nemaslug continues to work well during wet weather - exactly when you need protection against slugs!

Pest control using nematodes, natural predators of the worst enemies in your garden - slugs, vine weevils, chafer grubs and leatherjackets. Nematodes are renowned biological control products, which provide many benefits over traditional gardening chemicals and are a key ally for organic gardeners.These products have been approved for use for organic gardening by most authorities including the Soil Association and HDRA. As well as being effective, they are safe for children, pets and wildlife and there is no restriction on its use, so you can use them throughout the garden, including on all food crops.

Ordering and Delivery

We send out living nematodes once a week. Orders received before Tuesday are usually despatched on Thursday via 1st class franked mail for receipt on Friday/Saturday, ready to apply at the weekend. Packs should be refrigerated upon receipt (do not order if going away). Most size packs will go through a letter box, but any more will need alternative delivery instructions, to prevent return to a sorting office. The expiry date on the nematodes is 4 weeks from despatch date.
