Squash seeds for the Potimarron Uchiki Kuri produce a vigorous variety of squash that really loves to be growing in soil that is rich with organic matter and a good exposure to sunlight. As the photo shows it has a brick red colour skin and beautiful dark yellow flesh with a strong hint of chestnut. This lends to its French known name of Potimarron as "marron" means chestnut! This variety is said to have Japanese origins, hence its name. It is an extremely popular type of squash as its taste its so fine and it can produce a few fruit per plant.

This variety of squash does benefit from 'being cruel to be kind', so if sowing a couple of seeds in the same place, only keep the healthier seedelings. During the growth period remove any weak fruit and keep the best specimens! This will ensure the finest growth and best harvest. It also likes the soil to be kept clean so weed free.

Sow these potimarron squash seeds from April until June and harvest from October onwards.

Each packets contains 3 grammes of seed which is approximately 15 - 20 seeds.
