The endive seeds for the Tardiva di Sarno o Paparegna produce a very rare and hearty lettuce variety of endive with very broad, round leaves. The outer leaves are quite dark with the inner much lighter in colour. This is a late winter variety which should be sown direct into the plot from July until October and can then be harvested right through until December. It loves the much colder weather.
