Beetroot seed for the Tonda di Chioggia produce a traditional Italian beetroot with rosy skin, lovely sweet flesh and is a delight for any dish due to its unusual striped pattern which is often called "bullseye". Best eaten tender when young and when tops can be added to salads, or even steamed like spinach. This variety can be sown in April and May for harvesting in the Summer or sown in May to July for harvest Autumn to Winter.
