Carrot seeds for the Touchon produce a French early-maturing variety of carrot that produces medium length, but large, roots. This variety can adapt to almost any type of soil although they do prefer sandy. As with many types of carrot it does like deep, well worked and stone free soil so a little effort prior to planting will repay you in the longterm. Regular weeding and watering is appreciated. This is also a very good variety to grow as a catch crop.
