Herb variety used for both the medicinal properties and as a seasoning herb which is said to have a calming effect. Also used quite commonly as a flavouring for tea in which both the root and rootstock can be used as they contain the vital active ingredient both before and after flowering which will take place September and October. The flowering parts have a pink tint to the white umbellifers and a very pleasant smell which makes the plant good for both herbs gardens and borders.

SOW: February - April under cover or from August - September if planting direct to soil
QUANTITY: Each packet contains over 250 seeds
TRANSPLANT: When soil reaches 15-20C
DISTANCE: allow about 0.4-meters between plants.
FLOWER: September - October
