Cabbage seeds for the Verza di Piacenza produce a variety of Savoy cabbage that is quite unusual within the UK. A good tight, green head with the great crinkly leaves of a Savoy. Depending on the weather the seeds can be planted directly into the soil or under cover during the months of June & July. The seedlings should then be transplanted or thinned during August and harvested from December until late February. When thinning or transplanting the plants want to be approximately 40cm apart with around 60cm between the rows.
