The Viking is a variety of spinach that produces dark, smooth, green leaves that have a fine taste. As it is a winter variety it is quite happy being grown in the shade or in the weak winter sunshine but it does like to be sheltered from the strongest winds.

The seeds should be sown from September and into early November with harvesting from January through until March.

DISTANCE: Broadcast in continous rows with each row around 30cm apart.
HARVEST: January - March.
