The White Lisbon is a fine example of a spring onion with the almost silver skin and white flesh and not forgetting the mild taste that really starts the year well as harvesting takes place from February and into March and gives you a promise of the summer tastes that are to come when your plot really starts full production in later months. The seeds are normally sown direct to plot during September and October but they can be started a little later if you wish but then start them under cover and transplant.

SOW: August - September direct into your soil or under cover and plant out later
QUANTITY: Each packet contains 4.5gms of seed
TRANSPLANT: 4 weeks (if required)
DISTANCE: about 0.3-meters between rows and 0.2-meters between plants.
HARVEST: February - March
