Swede seeds Wilhelmsburger will produce a variety of swede with a good, strong yellow flesh and a green top. It has a very pleasant sweet-spicy taste and, as your mother used to say, is very good for you as it has excellent nutritious value.

Swede can be boiled, steamed and is good when served in curries or fried but my favourite is mashed with carrots and a little butter.
