Radish Rose d'Hiver de Chine also known as Winter Rose of China is a long red/pink radish with a broad base and with crisp white flesh. Ideal as a hors d'oeuvre when served with butter which is how the radish is commonly eated in France. Sow from June until August and harvest from August through until November or even early December. To maximise your radish crop remember to stagger the sowing of the seeds. Leave a couple of weeks between each sowing and your crop will mature over a constant period rather than all at once. When thinning leave approximately 10cm between each seedling.

TRANSPLANT: Thin when the seedlings have a couple of leaves each or reach around 5cm.
DISTANCE: Sow in a continuous line allowing 4-5g per 10 meters and 15cm between rows.
HARVEST: August - November
