The very well known herb, wormwood is a perennial herb growing to around 120-140 cm high, with an intense aroma that when planted within a border helps to create a wasp-free area. The wasps just do not seem to like wormwood so it is ideal to plant alongside your soft fruits that act almost like a magnet to the wasps later in the season.

Wormwood grows well in both full sun or partial shade and will handle most soil types so happy to be planted in well fed areas as well as dry areas with poor soil. The Wormwood leaves are used in many ways including teas and due to the properties within the leaves, a small bag of wormwood can also keep moths away.
