Strawberry spinach is unusual vegetable that has been grown for centuries in European gardens until replaced by more standard spinach. The leaves resemble spinach and can be harvested as such. It can be cooked, eaten as a salad or frozen. After the blooming of flowers, plenty of strawberry like fruits develop with a sweet flavour. Attractive in any garden. Can be grown in the border or in patio containers.

Sow March to August outdoors or in a greenhouse. Harvest June to October.

SOW: March - August direct into plot or under cover
QUANTITY: Each packet contains around 250 seeds
TRANSPLANT: 4 - 6 weeks
DISTANCE: Each row around 30cm apart and each plant around 25cm apart.
HARVEST: June through until the following May.
