Salad Leaves also known as Corn Salad, Lambs Lettuce or even Lambs Tongue. This salad forms a rosette of long hardy salad leaves. Full of vitamins; more Vitamin C than lettuce, beta-carotene, B6, B9, Vitamin E, and omega-3 fatty acids. It has a delicate taste which is delicious in a salad, but also as seasoning or garnish (eg fish dishes) or steamed as a side vegetable.
Can be sown in early Spring, but tends to be sown in early Autumn for Winter salad leaves.
